Looking for a game suggestion (open ended)

I'm currently working on a run of Icewind Dale and already have a concept for my next run. However, I know if I do two IWD runs back to back, despite how much I love the game, I will totally burn out. I'm looking for a "palette cleanser" to play between the runs.

I've kinda been poking around but nothing has quite grabbed me. I considered Outer Wilds, but it's only on Steam and I have been trying to migrate away from that platform and towards GoG. If I hadn't already played it, Subnautica would do the trick. I considered project zomboid, but there's not much to discover, it's more of a reiterative survival loop.

Anyway, that's about where my head is at. If it's on a good sale and (preferably) not on steam, that would be great, too.

Any suggestions?

Project Zomboid is basically create your own story and roleplay it. Very flexible how you set up your apocalypse. Some interesting videos about it out there.

I have it on my GOG list, but it's not currently on sale. I'm interesting, but that game makes me a little anxious. Like, you're definitely going to die in that game, it's just a matter of when. That's kind of a heavy thing to have hanging over my head.
