The expedition to Ulcaster was a success. Their venture started to get dicey when the vampiric wolf in the school's basement managed to get a hold on Beatrix. At first, it looked like Imoen was running away. However, it was only a feint, as she then snuck back behind the wolf and took it down...
Well, clearing Bassilus' woods was a little easier than I expected. I wasn't worried about Bassilus himself. With a little chat, his undead army crumbled. Then, Imoen interrupted his spellcasting with the wand of missiles she swiped (presumably) from Gorion's room. He went down quickly from...
I will better recount the story so far. Also,
After the ambush outside Candlekeep, Beatrix was immediately down on herself for running. Torm, being the god of courage and self-sacrifice, would surely have been disappointed. However, her father told her to run and Torm is also the god of duty...
But wait, where's my manners? I forgot introductions.
I should mention the weird self-imposed rules that apply to this run so some of my choices make sense. You can't be a paladin without a code of ethics, so it makes sense that you can't play one without the same, right?
1) Rerolls. I let...
A while back, I was posting a BG run with a paladin, Beatrix. Everything was going well and then I was hard locked in level 2 of Durlag's due to some weird glitch with the ward stones. I could have scrapped the rest of the tower, but I wouldn't have felt good about that.
I've given it some...
I've never been good at rank ordering things, but I can probably finagle a top 20 in no real particular order list.
1. Terraria
2. Final Fantasy IX
3. Half-Life
4. Fallout 2
5. Planescape: Torment
6. Thief: The Dark Project
7. System Shock 2
8. Deus Ex
9. Don't Starve Together
10. Final...
"Given this stage of development, we don't require the support of a full studio."
Does that mean game developers are only going to be employed on days/months there's work to do and are laid off between projects?
I have a hard time even finishing a lot of RPGs and there are a bunch that I've started, a number of times, and then fizzle out. Part of it is me getting distracted with something new or having an idea for something else with a game, but most of it is the story arc and the writing not keeping me...
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: is pretty much what I have to say about that.
I'm going through a similar thing in my industry, except instead of bumping up the price, they are lowering product and service quality and then raising the expectations for sales. For two years now, my...
I did dabble with throwing in a prior incarnation and found it (specifically grenades) to be a little cheesy and made things too easy. I had not thought about maxing out any other stat though. Con makes sense for a Dwarf, though being on Firearms (and the Miracle Operation back story), it would...
I have no Smithing myself right now, but I have Magnus, who is my balanced sword factory. I also have a charged axe schematic, but I'm not sure it's better than the sword due to the AP cost. I could hunt around for the pyro axe, though.
I was running mechanical on a prior incarnation here...
I don't really have a "journal entry" as this next bit has just been a red herring. It was easy enough to get a ride to the Isle of Despair, but there was nothing much to do there. A couple of side quests and a penal colony leader who told me lol jk on the Dwarven Clan I was sent there to find...
I'm not sure if I wrote it either. But, I'm playing mostly turn based. I think it works better for a ranged attacker. It also gives me breathing room to consider cover, range, and position.
That did the trick. I was much more careful when I approached this time and this time I heard the gunshot that killed the hostage before I even got to the barn. That's pretty cheap-ass, but whatever, I used a raise on them and all's well that ends well.
So, I'm still working on this run, but I've hit a bit of a glitch (again). I finished the BMC and am heading off to Ashbury to find a boat. While I'm there, I'm trying to do the firearms master quest. For some reason,, the villager that I'm supposed to save seems to be spawning dead which causes...

Our expedition to the Black Mountain Clan Mine was a success, though we are quite battered for the venture and I am being generous with my definition of success. The hostile creatures in the mine were quite manageable, but the traps were legion. All we really have to show for...
