Great photos @WiseGrimwald ! I'm enjoying your IWD run and it is reminding me of past adventures. I have not played IWD in many, many years and think it may be time to give it a go. I always liked the reduced magic and combat of the game. It felt more like my pen and paper D&D games of my youth...
Just checking in after being away for a few months. I enjoy hearing about new games but only rarely have time to play anything so I stick to low reload BG or IWD. I am at BG city in my current elven thief run. I have not made it to BG2 in about 2 years, but maybe this time...
Popping in to say hi after receiving the 2 year anniversary message, as have not visited Tavern in some time. I'm glad to see the Tavern is still bustling with regulars!
I think @BelgarathMTH nailed it for me as well, almost exactly:
1) 1st edition AD&D (my high school and college memories)
2) 2nd edition. (BG dominates my memories of mature adulthood during the early 2000's)
3) 3rd edition. (Heavy Neverwinter Nights play during my transitional years into...
Happy holidays to everyone! For my next festive dinner I have a cockatrice simmering with some root vegetables as I write this. Now all I need is something to stuff it with, perhaps an adventurer or 2? (wink)
I use an auto-roller these days, but only for about 15 minutes or so. This usually gives me a score in the low 90s. More than that feels not right to me.
I do respect manual rolls more though, and those characters I tend to play longer, not sure why. I sometimes do manual rolls once I forget...
